English Teaching Positions for Experienced Teachers

Public Secondary Schools, Uzbekistan September 2026 – May 2027 Ages 11–16 (Grades 7–11)

The Ministry of Preschool and School Education of Uzbekistan is recruiting qualified English language teachers for public schools across the country. Positions commence in September 2026 and continue through May 2027, with opportunities for contract renewal.

Monthly Salary: USD 1,500 – 3,500 (depending on qualifications and experience)

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in any subject.
  • Possess an internationally recognised English language teaching qualification such as Trinity CertTESOL, CELTA, or an equivalent TESOL/TEFL/ESL qualification.
  • Have a minimum of one year of teaching experience. (Those with less than 1 year experience can apply for Internship)
  • Be willing to teach up to 20 hours per week and participate in 8 hours of extracurricular activities weekly.
  • Be available to relocate to Uzbekistan by the end of August 2026.

The Teaching Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess student performance and monitor progress.
  • Maintain effective classroom management.
  • Support students in achieving language learning goals.
  • Conduct two professional development sessions annually for local teachers.
  • Facilitate clubs, workshop and seminar activities.

Workload:

  • 20 teaching hours per week
  • 8 hours of extracurricular activities per week
